Welcome to Scan QRCode. These Terms of Service ("Terms") represent a binding legal agreement between you ("User," "you") and the developers ofScan QRCode ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using our iOS application, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the application.

1. Scope of Services

Scan QRCode provides a suite of digital utility tools, including but not limited to:

Scanning of standard QR codes and barcodes.

Image-based scanning from the local photo library.

A comprehensive QR code generator for URLs, text, WiFi , SMS/email templates, geographic locations, and social media links.

A localized "Scan History" manager.

2. User License and Intellectual Property

Grant of License: We grant you a personal, worldwide, non-assignable, non-exclusive. This license is strictly for your personal or internal business use.

User-Generated Content Ownership: You retain full ownership and intellectual property rights over any QR codes you generate using our application. You are free to export, print, distribute, or utilize them for personal or commercial marketing purposes.

3. Acceptable Use Policy & Restrictions

We provide you with a powerful "Create Any Code" generator. However, with great power comes responsibility. You explicitly agree NOT to use our application to:

Generate Malicious Content: Create QR codes that direct users to malware, spyware, ransomware, or phishing websites designed to steal credentials.

Promote Illegal Activities: Generate codes linking to illegal gambling, explicit sexual content, the sale of illicit substances, or content that incites violence or hate speech.

Impersonate or Defraud: Generate fraudulent electronic business cards (vCards) or fake social media profiles intended to deceive others or infringe upon the trademarks/copyrights of third parties.

Reverse Engineer: Attempt to decompile, reverse engineer, or extract the source code of the application.

We reserve the right to restrict access to the app or report severe violations to relevant app store authorities or law enforcement if we detect systematic abuse of our generator tools.

4. Third-Party Links and Content

QR codes you scan may direct you to third-party websites, applications, or services that are not owned or controlled by us. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party domains.

No Guarantee of Safety: The internet is inherently unpredictable. We do not warrant that our safety checks will catch 100% of malicious links. The preview feature relies on available metadata and public heuristics, which can be bypassed by sophisticated malicious actors.

User Responsibility: The ultimate decision to click "Open Link" or proceed to a scanned website rests entirely with you. We shall not be held liable for any data loss, device compromise, or financial damage resulting from visiting a third-party website scanned through our app.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Scan QRCode, its developers, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including without limitation, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to the use of, or inability to use, the application.

6. Modifications to the App and Terms

App Updates: We are constantly iterating to improve our tools. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service (including specific QR code generation templates) at any time, with or without notice.

Terms Updates: We may revise these Terms from time to time. The most current version will always be posted within the app. By continuing to access or use the application after revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms.

7. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer is registered, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved through good faith negotiations before resorting to formal legal action.
